Ashley and Elio first met through mutual friends in college. Ashley was a freshman in Columbia College studying Psychology and Eliomar was a sophomore in Columbia Engineering studying Mechanical Engineering. Just friends at first, the two got to know each other even more when they both joined Sabor, Columbia's Latin Dance Team. Ashley and Elio always got along really well and often spent time around one another. However, it wasn't until May 2010 when Eliomar first got the courage to ask Ashley out on a date. The two began transitioning from close friends to a young couple. On May 28th 2010, Ashley and Elio were walking through Central Park when Elio pulled Ashley aside and officially asked her to be his girlfriend. Little did they know that exactly five years later in that exact spot, Elio would get down on one knee and ask Ashley to marry him. Having known for a long time that he was the man of her dreams, Ashley said yes.

We have booked our trip for our dream honeymoon to Bora Bora, Tahiti! We would greatly appreciate gifts that would help us take advantage of everything the island has to offer.
